About Me, and About the Site
I somehow got upgraded to Business Class, and felt the need to document it with champagne in-hand. |
About me:
I'm Sayanan Sivaraman. I live in the Bay Area with my wife and our leopard gecko.
Machine learning and computer vision comprise a large portion of my work. Strong programming skills in C++ and Python.
I graduated with my PhD in electrical engineering at UC San Diego in 2013. During my PhD, I worked on various problems relating to computer vision, machine learning, multi-modal sensor processing, and probabilistic modeling.
About this site:
This site is a place for me to catalog thoughts, opinions, and discoveries of marginal importance. Given the electronic nature of modern discourse, I think it's a nice idea to have an online place to discuss my interests, and little things I learn along the way.
Some posts will explain, others will document, and the balance will pontificate. Topics include basic algorithms and coding, politics, history, food, fishing, camping, martial arts, music, and beer.
